Terms of Service.
The terms governing use of the StoneBridge Roofs website and our service relationship.
Last Updated: January 1, 2025
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StoneBridge Roofs LLC website at stonebridgenc.com (the "Site") and describe the terms under which StoneBridge Roofs LLC ("StoneBridge," "we," "us," or "our") provides roofing inspection, installation, and restoration services. By using the Site or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or engage our services.
1. Use of the Website
The Site is provided for informational purposes and to facilitate inquiries about our roofing services. You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the Site. Prohibited conduct includes transmitting any unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, or obscene content; attempting to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site; and interfering with the proper operation of the Site.
StoneBridge reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any conduct that StoneBridge determines to be inappropriate or in violation of these Terms.
2. Accuracy of Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information on the Site — including service descriptions, company information, and general roofing guidance — is accurate and current. However, we make no representations or warranties as to the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability of any information on the Site. Service availability, pricing, and specifications are subject to change without notice and are confirmed only through a written estimate or contract provided directly to you by StoneBridge.
General roofing information published on our Resources/Blog section is intended for educational purposes only and does not constitute professional engineering, legal, or insurance advice. Specific roofing decisions for your property should be based on a physical inspection by a qualified contractor, not on general informational content.
3. Free Inspection and Estimates
StoneBridge offers free, no-obligation roof inspections for residential properties within our service area. Submission of an inspection request form, phone call, or email requesting an inspection does not create a contractual obligation on the part of either party. StoneBridge reserves the right to decline inspection requests at its discretion.
Written estimates provided following inspection are valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified in the estimate document. Estimates are based on conditions observed during the inspection; additional charges may apply if conditions discovered during the course of work materially differ from those observed at the time of estimate (for example, decking damage not visible during inspection). Any such additional scope will be communicated to you in writing and requires your written authorization before work proceeds.
4. Service Contracts
Roofing installation, restoration, and repair services are governed by a separate written service contract executed between StoneBridge and the property owner or authorized representative. These Terms of Service govern Site use and general conduct; the specific terms of any roofing project are set forth in the applicable service contract. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and a signed service contract, the service contract controls with respect to that project.
Payment terms, project timelines, scope specifications, and warranty terms are all defined in the project-specific service contract. Do not rely solely on general information from the Site when making decisions about a specific roofing project.
5. Warranties
Warranty coverage for StoneBridge installations consists of two components: (a) the manufacturer's product warranty for materials installed, which is governed by the manufacturer's separate warranty documentation provided at project completion; and (b) StoneBridge's workmanship warranty, the specific terms of which are set forth in your project service contract. General references to warranty terms on the Site (such as "10-year workmanship warranty") reflect StoneBridge's standard terms and are subject to the specific terms of your executed service contract.
Warranties are voided by: modifications to the roof or roofing system made by parties other than StoneBridge without prior written authorization; damage caused by events outside the scope of normal weather (such as structural failure, fire, or vandalism); and failure to perform manufacturer-required maintenance as described in product documentation provided at project completion.
6. Insurance Claim Assistance
StoneBridge provides documentation support and communication assistance during the insurance claim process for storm-damaged roofs. This service is provided as a courtesy to our clients and does not constitute the practice of public adjusting or legal representation. StoneBridge is not a licensed public adjuster. Clients who require representation in insurance disputes beyond documentation support should engage a licensed public adjuster or attorney. StoneBridge makes no guarantee regarding the outcome of any insurance claim, and the provision of claim assistance does not create liability for claim outcomes.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, photographs, graphics, logos, design elements, and inspection report formats — is the property of StoneBridge Roofs LLC or its content licensors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages from the Site for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or use any Site content for commercial purposes without prior written consent from StoneBridge.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, StoneBridge Roofs LLC and its officers, employees, agents, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on general information published on the Site. Our total liability for any claim arising from Site use shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100). This limitation does not apply to claims arising from a signed service contract, which are governed by that contract's own liability provisions.
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StoneBridge Roofs LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
Disputes arising from a signed service contract are subject to the dispute resolution provisions in that contract, which may include mandatory arbitration or mediation provisions.
11. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including manufacturer sites, industry resources, and social media platforms. These links are provided for convenience only. StoneBridge does not control, endorse, or assume any responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party sites. Your use of any third-party site is at your own risk and subject to that site's own terms and policies.
12. Changes to These Terms
StoneBridge reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to the Site with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Site following any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
